Having a child with a life-threatening disease is stressful for the entire family. Families need a place where they can get away and be themselves. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has created a treatment-free zone where families can relax and spend private time together between clinical appointments. Family Commons is an important part of the hospital’s emphasis on caring for the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
Family Commons is open only to St. Jude patients, families, and Family Commons staff. The 45,000-square-foot space is located on the 2nd floor of the hospital’s Patient Care Center. It is a place where you and your family can relax, snack, create, learn, and connect.
