When Your Clinic is Closed

St. Jude may be able to offer care when your clinic is closed. Call the Infusion Center if your child needs care after hours.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital primary clinics are closed on weekends, holidays, and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.

If your child has an urgent need after hours, please call the Infusion Center at  901-595-2441. Please call before coming so that care providers can prepare for your visit.

When you call, a care provider will review your child’s information and symptoms. They will decide if your child should be seen at St. Jude or if you should go to a local emergency room.

If it is decided that your child will go to St. Jude for care, follow these guidelines for where to go:

  • If you arrive before 10 p.m., go to Patient Registration first.
  • If you arrive after 10 p.m., go directly to the Infusion Center. Staff will check you in and give your child an armband.

Illnesses that can be spread

If you think your child may have an illness that could spread to others, please call before going to the hospital. Your child might need to have an isolation visit. Call 901-595-2441 and let the Infusion Center nursing staff know. If you are outside the Memphis area, dial toll-free 1-866-278-5833, ext. 2441.

The Infusion Center care team will let you know if your child will be placed in isolation.
