Patient Assistance Coordinator

While your child is in treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, you may need help with your finances. You may also need to find resources for extra support. A patient assistance coordinator can help.

What is a patient assistance coordinator?

A patient assistance coordinator is a St. Jude staff member who can offer assistance, advice, and referrals to useful resources.

How a patient assistance coordinator can help

The patient assistance coordinator can help in several ways. They may:

  • Help you find financial assistance for living expenses
  • Make referrals to local, state, and national financial resources
  • Make referrals to financial assistance organizations
  • Help you fill out disability and medical necessity forms
  • Answer questions about insurance billing or payments. No family pays for services provided at St. Jude.
  • Work with social work case managers to help address your needs
