The Jim Mobley Partner in Excellence Award

This award honors St. Jude staff who practice patient family-centered care.

The Jim Mobley Partner in Excellence Award honors outstanding staff members who go above and beyond to enhance patient care and experience at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This prestigious award is presented by both the Patient and Family Experience and Patient and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) teams.

The award is named in honor of Jim Mobley, who passed away in 2021. Mobley was a St. Jude patient relations coordinator who embodied the core concepts of PFCC and was an advocate and staff champion for patient family-centered care. He won the award in 2020. His nominator described him as someone who “approaches everyone with a joyous heart.” They went on to say that “Jim works to change the culture of St. Jude to make a better experience for future patients and families.”

Award criteria

The award recognizes St. Jude staff who:

Show dignity and respect, share information, and work with patients and their families
Involve patients and families in decisions, ensuring that patient and family voices are heard 
Encourage families to become involved in PFCC programming 
Create a warm, caring, and positive experience for St. Jude patients and families 
Use technology or other methods to improve patient care or the patient experience

Nominate a deserving staff member
