The PFCC Program recognizes St. Jude staff members who exemplify the concepts of PFCC in their area of work and beyond. They are honored during Patient Family-Centered Care Awareness Month each October.
These are staff who:
- Actively recommend patient families to get involved in PFCC programs
- Support PFCC programs through technology advances, services, or other means that directly improve either patient care or the patient experience
- Embrace and demonstrate the PFCC core concepts on a regular basis when working with patient families
- Engage parent advisers in the decision-making process of their work area
- Make an effort to listen and gain feedback from St. Jude patient families
- Engage the PFAC or other parent advisers in planning, implementing, and evaluating policies, processes, or operations to improve the patient experience
