The Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and patient family-centered care (PFCC) team at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital recognize hospital staff whose actions and attitudes promote and support PFCC.
Nominees for a Champion Award can include health care team members, as well as support, research, and service staff. These staff members put a "face" to PFCC core concepts, values, and philosophy. Any employee who exhibits the core concepts of PFCC could receive a Champion Award.
Patient Family-Centered Care Champions are recognized each year for displaying PFCC values in their work that supports patients and families.
The PFCC Program recognizes St. Jude staff members who exemplify the concepts of PFCC in their area of work and beyond. They are honored during Patient Family-Centered Care Awareness Month each October.
These are staff who:
The Jim Mobley Partner in Excellence Award winner is selected annually from previous PFCC Champions. The winner is a staff member whose exceptional work for patient families helps support and grow the PFCC Program. They are long-term partners in promoting the PFCC core concepts.
The PFAC selects the Partner in Excellence. They honor the winner at an annual event.
The St. Jude PFAC regularly recognizes hospital staff whose actions and attitudes promote and support patient family-centered care. To learn more, email pfcc@stjude.org or call 901-595-2277.
