Starting February 1, 2025, St. Jude will only mail appointment reminders to patients who choose this option.

St. Jude sends appointment reminders to the patient’s authorized consenter.

Notification type	When sent	How to set your preference
Mail	Sent 12 weeks and again 4 weeks before appointments	Turn on or off in MyChart Communication Preferences.
Email	Sent 12 weeks, 4 weeks* and 1 week before appointments *An email at 12 weeks is a new feature. If you fly or stay overnight on campus, use this as a reminder to call Patient Services and Travel to set up your travel and housing.	Turn on or off in Communication Preferences.
Phone call	Thursday before next week's appointments If you confirmed your appointments by email, then you will not get a phone call reminder.	Turn on or off in Communication Preferences.
Text	Day before appointments	Turn on or off in Communication Preferences.
MyChart eCheck-In text or email	7 days before appointments If eCheck-In is not completed, a second notification is sent 24 hours before the appointment.	Turn on or off in Communication Preferences.
Our St. Jude app notification	24 hours before appointment if the appointment has instructions attached to it Our St. Jude will also send an app notification if an appointment is added, removed or changed in the next 48 hours.	Turn on or off app notifications: Open Our St. Jude app Go to settings Click push notifications Turn on or off notification reminders for "clinical events"
