APEC14B1: Project:EveryChild

About this study

Project:EveryChild is a study to collect health information that will help us to learn more about childhood cancer and other diseases. We will use this information to find better ways to prevent, treat, and provide ongoing care for these disorders. St. Jude is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, which sponsors this study.

We will gather details about the diagnosis, treatment, and progress of each patient in the study. These details will be part of a large childhood cancer registry.

We will also collect extra cell samples from procedures the patient already needs. The samples may include small amounts of blood, tissue, or saliva. We will store those samples in a special research bank. In some cases, parents may also be asked to provide a sample, such as a cheek swab.

Children in this study may be contacted when they are older to see if they want to help with other studies. Families can choose how much they want to take part in this study.

By collecting and sharing this information, Project:EveryChild will create a library of data that could lead to better treatments in the future.
