Open Enrollment is a great time to reevaluate everything from your health benefits to retirement choices so that you and your family are set up for success in the upcoming year, beginning January 1, 2025.

  • Open Enrollment Expo
    • October 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the MTC Boardroom
    • Enrollment help is available in MTC Meeting Room 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Everyone must log into Workday via desktop or mobile app to enroll in or update benefits. (Open Enrollment is Oct 21- Nov. 6.)  
  • Action required: Employees must log into Workday and do the following:  
    • Verify non-tobacco status to avoid tobacco user premium surcharge for medical plan 
    • Electronically consent that you have read the HIPAA acknowledgment  
  • No increases to medical and dental copays, coinsurance, deductibles and out of pocket maximums! Employees can continue to access needed medical care that’s affordable.
    • Copays: The cost for these services remains consistent, providing predictability for you and your family.
    • Coinsurance: The portion you pay for covered services will not go up, which can help you budget for future healthcare expenses.
    • Deductibles: The maximum to access insurance benefits remains the same.
    • Out of Pocket Maximums: You won’t be responsible for higher unexpected costs, providing a safety net for those with major medical expenses.
  • FREE Health Coverage! When you feel your best, you are at your best—for you, and the people you care about, too. 
    • St. Jude is continuing to pick up the cost of health insurance premiums for the employee-only portion of coverage. Employees with a designated status of 90% or more full-time will only pay bi-weekly health premiums at a discounted rate for a spouse and/or dependent(s) enrolled in the medical, dental or vision plans.

  • New perks from your work! St. Jude is committed to providing valuable perks and resources to improve employees’ wellbeing. So, what’s new for 2025?
    • St. Jude Child Care Center for our employees’ children opens this November! Located less than one mile from the St. Jude campus, the Child Care Center will provide high-quality child care to children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
    • More flexibility to cover your medical costs! In 2025, you can increase your FSA Healthcare Spending Account to the IRS maximum, $3,200.
    • Non-seasonal vaccines just got even more convenient!
      • As of October 1, employees enrolled in the health plan can get the Shingrix, RSV, Tdap, Pneumonia and more non-seasonal vaccines for FREE at eligible pharmacy locations. This is in addition to being offered through medical providers. 
    • Raise the woof — pet insurance is now a new benefit option! The employee-paid benefit with Nationwide will be available to enroll in during Open Enrollment.  
    • We’ll get straight to the point: acupuncture is now covered under the medical plan.

We provide zero to low health premium costs so you can take care of what matters and feel good while doing it. St. Jude is continuing to pick up the cost of health insurance premiums for the employee-only portion of coverage in 2025 for employees with a designated status of 90% or more of full-time. Employees with a designated status of 90% or more of full-time will only pay bi-weekly health premiums for a spouse and/or dependent(s) enrolled in the medical, dental or vision plans**. 

What does that mean for you? 

  • More money in your bi-weekly paycheck! Your only bi-weekly health premium costs deducted from your paycheck would be for coverage of your spouse and/or dependent(s) enrolled in health plans for employees with a designated status of 90% or more of full-time. 
  • The rates are highly discounted!

  1. Step 1: Read the 2025 Open Enrollment information on this site.

    •  You can also e-mail questions to benefits@stjude.org or call ext. 4502 to speak with a Benefits team member.  

     Step 2: Log into Workday via desktop or mobile app.

    Step 3: The portal will guide you through your enrollment choices.

    • Once you have entered all required information and made updates, click the “Submit” button. If adding/removing family members from coverage, be sure to upload supporting documents (i.e. certificates for marriage, birth, etc.). 

    Please remember that all benefits-eligible employees must log into Workday this year. Also, participation in a Flexible Spending Account does require annual enrollment. Benefits elected during Open Enrollment cannot be dropped during the plan year without a qualifying life event (i.e. marriage, divorce, birth, etc.)
