St. Jude Reference #SJ-20-0026
Description
Researchers at St. Jude identified hundreds of human genome DNA fragments with strong enhancer blocking activities in lymphocytes.
These insulators can be incorporated into viral vectors to prevent enhancer mediated oncogene activation by vector enhancer elements, and thus enhance the safety of the vectors. These safer vectors can be used therapeutically to treat a variety of different diseases.
