Dr. Charles J. Russell completed his PhD at the University of California at Berkeley and his postdoctoral work as part of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Northwestern University where he studied virus-mediated membrane fusion. As an Associate Member of the St. Jude Faculty, he now leads his laboratory in the study of respiratory infectious diseases. His team’s work includes a translational aspect that contributes to the development of vaccines and therapeutics with enhanced immunogenicity.
