Travel Grant Opportunity

For the first time, the PBII Neuro-Oncologic Imaging Course is offering Travel Grants, including for international attendees. This initiative is aimed at encouraging the submission of unique and educational pediatric CNS tumor cases that offer significant teaching value.

About the Travel Grant

Up to three travel grants will be awarded, based on the merit of submitted cases. Each grant will cover:

  • Full course registration
  • Transportation to Memphis
  • Accommodation for the duration of the course
  • Per diem meal allowance

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase a compelling pediatric CNS tumor case while gaining recognition and support to attend a high-level neuro-oncologic imaging education event.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking instructive cases that provide meaningful teaching points—whether through radiology, pathology, or clinical management. Submissions will be evaluated by the PBII course faculty based on clarity, educational value, and originality. Special consideration will be given to cases presented with well-structured, visually clear PowerPoint slides that effectively communicate the clinical story.

How to Compose Your Case Submission

Please prepare your case in PowerPoint format, organized into the following sections:

  1. Title Slide: Include the title of the case, contributor’s full name(s), highest degree(s), institutional affiliation, and current rank/position.
  2. Brief Clinical History: Key presenting features and relevant background.
  3. Imaging: Up to 5 composite images with clear figure legends and annotations (e.g., arrows or labels) to guide the viewer.
  4. Histopathology: Up to 5 composite slides (H&E, immunohistochemistry, copy number plots, etc.).
  5. Management: Summary of clinical decisions, treatment course, and outcomes.
  6. Teaching Point(s): One to three concise insights that capture the educational value of the case.
  7. References: Include any relevant literature or guidelines that support your case.
