About the Hub

Proper cellular metabolism is critical for the normal tissue function. Therefore, it is not surprising that abnormal metabolism is a hallmark of several pathologies, including cancer and neurodegeneration. Our group is interested in characterizing these metabolic disorders by developing methods to monitor metabolism in vivo and evaluate the therapeutic response. We use proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS), multinuclear MRS and molecular MRI to identify metabolic features of cancers non-invasively. Our research involves tight collaboration with basic and clinical sciences in oncology, radiology, and infectious diseases, providing endless opportunities to examine the relevance of our findings in patients.
