Holly J. Van Epps

Holly J. Van Epps currently works at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Department as a Lead Clinical Research Associate. She specializes in reporting data on allogeneic and autologous transplants, and cellular therapies to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research. She has been a nurse for 26 years and worked in many specialty areas during that time; including trauma, burn, pediatric oncology, education, and research. She worked as a bedside nurse on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at St. Jude for 5 years.

Van Epps obtained a BS in nursing from the University of Memphis and MS in nursing from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Her work in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Department has exposed her to many areas of pediatric transplant research including allogeneic, autologous, haploidentical, and tandem transplants, as well as cellular and gene therapies. She has also been a part of the St. Jude Life study team in the Epidemiology Department that focuses on the late effects of treatment of childhood cancer.

Inspired by the investigators and scientists she has worked with at St. Jude over the years, Van Epps has witnessed firsthand the impact their efforts have had on the lives of patients and their families. Van Epps believes the excellent faculty of the Clinical Investigations program will help to grow her knowledge in clinical research design and reporting to continue to be a part of this mission.
