Rawan Hammoud, MD

Dr. Rawan Hammoud is originally from Beirut, Lebanon. With a solid foundation in medicine and a desire to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, she is enthusiastic about enhancing her skills in designing and conducting impactful clinical trials. 

Hammoud completed her undergraduate training at Lebanese American University where she received the Honors Scholarship for the duration of her education. She completed her medical training at American University of Beirut (2022), meriting induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She was also celebrated as the best oral presentation at the 9th Annual Clinical Research Open House at American University of Beirut in 2022.   

Hammoud is interested in exploring cardiometabolic outcomes faced by pediatric cancer survivors. Her goal is to expand the scope of her research to identify modifiable targets for intervention that can lead to clinically meaningful outcomes. 

“Through the Master of Science in Clinical Investigations program, I aim to become a well-rounded clinician-scientist, equipped with the knowledge and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the field of pediatric cancer survivorship and improve the lives of these resilient individuals.”
