Yasmine Valentin-Vega, PhD

Dr. Yasmine Valentin-Vega earned her Ph.D. in Genes and Development from the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center before transitioning to a postdoctoral position at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Throughout her tenure at St. Jude, she has progressed through various roles, currently serving as the Director of Scientific Administration & Operations in the Scientific Director’s Office and the Director of Special Projects in the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. In these capacities, Dr. Valentin-Vega has managed complex research and healthcare operations, contributing to strategic initiatives that foster institutional growth, scientific advancement, and excellence in higher education. Her efforts include acting as a liaison between St. Jude and the Graduate School and supporting business operations, always striving to create a collaborative and innovative environment.
