Kelly Oman has spent more than a decade developing programs and institutional structures that support faculty and graduate student success. Before joining the St. Jude Graduate School, she worked in the University of Virginia’s Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, where she helped lead professional development initiatives for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers across campus. Prior to that, Kelly worked at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, supporting faculty and early-career researchers in sharing their work with audiences within and outside of academia. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, earned her PhD from Washington University in St. Louis, and has taught at WashU, Lindenwood University, the University of Missouri–St. Louis Pierre Laclede Honors College, and Fontbonne University.
