The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences recently welcomed its second class of PhD students during a convocation ceremony. The new class includes 13 students from academic institutions across the U.S. and Canada.
Faculty and staff across the institution attended the ceremony and reception.
Students in the school’s inaugural class were also recognized during the ceremony for completing their first year of study. These students are now working in the labs they have selected for their thesis research.
Applications are now open for the 2019 entering class.

Students were introduced individually and welcomed by St. Jude and Graduate School leadership and Board of Trustee members.
Faculty and staff members attended the event in the hospital’s Marlo Thomas Center Auditorium.
