The coveted Pat Summerall Award will be presented to Storm in celebration of her successes as a pioneer for women in sports broadcasting. Storm, the second female recipient of the award, served as the host of the 2019 and 2020 Legends for Charity fundraising dinners, supporting kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Storm is also an advocate for children suffering vascular anomalies and breast cancer research, testing and early detection.

“I’m deeply humbled and honored to receive the Pat Summerall Award at this year’s Legends for Charity Dinner benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Storm. “Pat was someone I greatly admired and respected, not only for his excellence in broadcasting but for his integrity, grace, and generosity. Having had the privilege of hosting this inspiring event in the past, it’s particularly meaningful to now be recognized in his name. I’m so grateful to St. Jude for the lifesaving work they do, and to be part of this incredible tradition that celebrates the power of giving back.”

The award began in 2006 during Super Bowl XL in Detroit when storied broadcaster Pat Summerall personally chose the first honoree. Since its inception, Legends for Charity has raised more than $13 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Past honorees include James Brown, the late Greg Gumbel, Jim Nantz, Chris Berman, Cris Collinsworth, The NFL ON FOX, Al Michaels, Archie Manning, Michael Strahan, Joe Buck, the late John Madden, Rich Eisen, Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher, Jim Kelly, Erin Andrews, Howie Long and Tony Romo.

“We are delighted to honor the amazing Hannah Storm for her accomplishments in broadcasting and dedication to the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. “As we celebrate two decades of Legends for Charity, we remain grateful for the support of our dear friend Cheri Summerall, who continues Pat’s legacy by recognizing the greatest broadcasters in the business and helping advance work by St. Jude to improve survival rates for kids with cancer around the world.”

The 2025 Legends for Charity dinner will be hosted by former Pat Summerall Award honoree and broadcasting legend Chris Berman, NFL Studio host and anchor of SportsCenter on ESPN. The Emmy Award winning sportscaster has participated annually in Legends for Charity for 20 years as a friend of Pat and Cheri Summerall and a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
