Hispanic media across 15 markets united with artists and celebrities to support St. Jude

Memphis, Tennessee, Dec. 20, 2022

For the 26th year, TelevisaUnivision joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® during the annual St. Jude Promesa y Esperanza (Promise and Hope) broadcast fundraiser on December 8-9, raising $4.5 million benefitting the mission of St. Jude

Coast-to-coast, TelevisaUnivision’s radio and TV partners promoted the campaign and encouraged audiences to support St. Jude by becoming Angeles de Esperanza (Angels of Hope). With a $19 monthly pledge, donors receive an Esta Camiseta Salva Vidas (This Shirt Saves Lives) t-shirt and support the ongoing mission of St. Jude to end childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

"Every year, TelevisaUnivision looks forward to supporting St. Jude and its tireless work,” said Jesus Lara, president TelevisaUnivision, Radio. “Our TV and radio stations across the country come together during Promesa y Esperanza to elevate the St. Jude mission and raise much-needed resources to help the children of St. Jude. This year we were honored to come together with our celebrity friends to raise $4.5 million that will positively impact research and treatment.”

Hispanic artists, influencers, media and celebrities such as Erika Ender, Luis Fonsi, Banda El Recodo, Los Recoditos, Calibre 50, Gerardo Ortiz, Arthur Hanlon, Helen Ochoa and Majo Aguilar participated in the online movement, sharing posts in support of St. Jude while wearing their Esta Camiseta Salva Vidas t-shirts.

Since 1997, Promesa y Esperanza has raised more than $92 million to support St. Jude.
