St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Named Health Non-Profit Brand of the Year for 6th consecutive year

Memphis, Tennessee, April 15, 2019

Harris Poll Brand of the Year 2018

For the sixth consecutive year, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has been named the Health Non-Profit Brand of the Year based on the 2019 Harris Poll EquiTrend® Equity Score.

Harris Poll EquiTrend is an annual brand equity study that compares the brand health of more than 2,000 brands across 200 categories. It evaluates consumer engagement and offers a picture of a brand's position inside and outside its industry.

"To be named the 'Health Non-Profit Brand of the Year' for the sixth consecutive year is an incredible honor," said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "The strength of the St. Jude brand is a testament to the tireless commitment of our staff, volunteers and generous donors to our mission of finding cures and saving children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. With their continued support, St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer."

More than 45,000 U.S. consumers ages 15 and over completed the survey in January 2019, and each respondent was asked to rate 40 randomly selected brands. Respondents for the survey were selected from among those who have agreed to participate in Harris Poll surveys. The data have been weighted to reflect the composition of the U.S. census. Brands were rated on measures of a brand's health, including familiarity, quality, emotional connection, trust, reputation and loyalty.

St. Jude is honored to be among this year’s charities recognized by the Harris Poll and congratulates all of those recognized for their important work in making a difference in the world. To read more about the Harris Poll EquiTrend survey, visit theharrispoll.com/equitrend.
