How far one mother would go

When a mother hears that her child has cancer, she thinks, “I will do ANYTHING to save my child.” But “anything” looks different, depending on where that family lives in the world. For Natalia Vilcu, a mother in Moldova, “anything” meant crossing international borders several times, paying for essential diagnostic tests out of pocket … and – despite living in a culture that treats cancer as a taboo subject – taking on the leadership of an organization that advocates for leukemia patients. St. Jude Inspire now presents her story.
