St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is accelerating discovery by driving breakthroughs at the bench, conducting the most clinical trials, treating some of the toughest cases, and training the next generation. We are setting the standard for the way the world understands and treats childhood cancer, sickle cell disease, neurological disorders, and infectious diseases. We have a storied history, unique infrastructure, and a singular mission: to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
St. Jude was founded on big dreams and a trailblazing spirit. From the beginning, the premise was daring. In 1962, when the hospital opened, a mere 20% of those with pediatric cancer survived. Since then, we’ve made incredible strides. We’ve helped improve the survival rate of childhood cancer in the U.S. from 20% to 80%, and St. Jude researchers and clinicians have played integral roles in advancing our understanding and treatment of childhood diseases.
The institution has grown exponentially since its opening, but the urgency of the work remains the same to accomplish the dream of our founder — no child shall die in the dawn of life.

Our Mission
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

St. Jude clinical trials emphasize the innovative and collaborative research between our doctors and scientists, who work together to find and advance cures for children. Below are a few of the trials we are actively recruiting for.
