In the summer of 2023, two-year-old Hayden was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. Despite Hayden's mother's initial fear, she felt hopeful when he was referred to St. Jude.
Hayden had surgery to remove his right eye and now wears a prosthetic. Hayden's mom is grateful to St. Jude for saving her son's life and supporting her family.“St. Jude has done a lot for me, not just for me but for other families as well," she said.
Hayden started school in September 2024, and enjoys playing with his trucks, singing and playing with his cousins.
