First Lady Dr. Jill Biden visited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Friday, March 25, 2022. Dr. Biden toured the hospital and met with four Ukrainian childhood cancer patients and their caregivers — the first to be evacuated to the U.S. The kids are among more than 600 critically ill children evacuated over the last four weeks in a humanitarian effort known as SAFER Ukraine, in which St. Jude has played a major role from the outset of the war.
