The TomorrowNite Gala began its second quarter-century of support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by raising $589,000.

The gala has raised more than $11 million for the kids of St. Jude in its 26 years. The March 4 event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel was attended by 440 guests, who enjoyed cocktails, food, live entertainment and dancing. The chairwoman for the 19th year was Anne Tamer Hajjar, who, along with husband Chuck Hajjar, a member of the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards of Directors and Governors, were presenting sponsors of the event.

The support of donors like those at the TomorrowNite Gala helps to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

J.C. Monahan, former anchor with Boston’s WCVB-TV Channel 5, was emcee for the evening. Along with the Hajjars, presenting sponsors included Paul Natalizio and Monica Bou. Other event sponsors were Peter and Wendy Brockelman; Dr. and Mrs. Stephen and Joanne Camer; Capital One, NA; Denham Capital Management; Eminence Captital; Fir Tree; KHJ Brand Activation; Ligris + Associates, P.C.; Micozzi Companies; Raycon Construction LLC of Braintree; and Triumvirate Environmental.
