When the St. Jude Memphis Marathon went virtual in 2020, he decided to run each event in a way that symbolized his family’s experience with childhood cancer. Like running in wet sand. Like running on a treadmill with the elevation high. But it was the full marathon that was most meaningful reflection of where they had been as a family.
