How to donate to St. Jude in honor of someone
There are many ways to give to charity in honor of someone. Here are some of the ways you can celebrate someone special while supporting a great cause like St. Jude.
Donate in honor of someone and send a card
Celebrate a special person or occasion by contributing a gift in their honor. Donating to St. Jude in this way means you're giving to a charitable, nonprofit organization with that person in mind. When making your donation, select a recipient, and we'll send them a personalized e-card or mail card, notifying them of your gift.
Donate by mail
A tribute gift is a personal way to recognize an individual by making a donation to St. Jude in their name.

The impact of your gift
-
Can help provide a red wagon, which is the preferred mode of travel through the halls of the hospital for our youngest patients.
-
Can help provide one platelet transfusion. During chemotherapy, the platelet count of patients can drop to dangerously low levels so platelet transfusions are essential for treatment.
-
Could help cover the cost of three chest x-rays. Doctors use X-rays to help diagnose and monitor a patient’s treatment.
-
Can help provide three hours of physical therapy. Physical therapy is used to improve or maintain a child's strength, balance, endurance, gross motor skills and mobility while receiving treatment.
-
Can help provide an ultrasound study used to diagnose and monitor disease and treatment. An ultrasound study is among the diagnostic imaging tests that doctors use to diagnose and monitor disease and treatment.
When you make a donation using this information, your donation will be used to provide breakthrough research, treatment and cures. Items listed here are representative of services and supplies that are part of the treatment and care of children at St. Jude. The cost of each item or service is an approximation and will vary based on actual costs incurred and individual patient needs. Your donation will be used for the general operating needs of St. Jude, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.
-
You can donate in honor of someone special at any time, for any occasion. Donate in memory of someone or for a special occasion, such as an anniversary, holiday or just because.
-
Donors who make a donation to St. Jude in honor of someone else may claim a charitable tax deduction for the donation to St. Jude to the full extent allowed by law. Be sure to consult with a tax professional for your situation.
-
The gift recipient will not be able to see the amount you donated in their honor. When you make a donation to St. Jude in honor of someone, the amount of the gift only appears on the acknowledgment letter or tax receipt that is sent directly to you. Your gift recipient receives a separate letter or confirmation, if you choose to have one sent, that does not include the amount of the donation.

Why support St. Jude?
Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you help give kids with cancer around the world that chance. Together, we can save more lives.
