Bring joy to the children of St. Jude
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you can help make cures possible for kids with cancer. In addition, your donations help bring moments full of community, relief, comfort and joy.
We’ve put together a list of ways you can help bring a little extra joy to the lives the kids and families at St. Jude.

Why joy matters for cancer patients
Joy is an important thing to cultivate in all our lives. It can be especially important for children and their families dealing with one of the darkest moments of their lives.
Building in moments of joy for our patients is a critical part of the healing process. Moments of joy boost mental health and strengthen resilience. Joy can also boost levels of optimism and quality of life, which is vitally important for St. Jude patients.

1.
Send a digital card of encouragement
You can provide a sense of hope, community and joy by sending children staying at St. Jude an encouraging card of your support.

2.
Fundraise online
Sharing joy online can touch so many hearts, often even more than traditional methods. By starting an online fundraiser, whether through traditional channels or on social media, you have the power to bring happiness to the patients of St. Jude and to your friends and family. Asking for a donation to St. Jude instead of a birthday or holiday gift is a wonderful way to connect your loved ones with our mission and spread even more joy.
3.
Volunteer for the children of St. Jude
If you're local to the Memphis area, consider volunteering on the St. Jude campus to help bring joy to our families. If you're outside the Memphis area, you can volunteer at a fundraiser in your area. Either way, you are helping families.
- Playing games and providing activities for children.
- Providing respite care in clinical/inpatient settings.
- Delivering beverages, toys and amenities from various carts.
- Volunteering at one of our fundraising events.

Donate or fundraise to support St. Jude families
Donating directly or fundraising for St. Jude is a great way to make a direct impact and help bring joy to families at St. Jude who are going through an unimaginable journey. When you donate or fundraise for St. Jude, you support our lifesaving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Why support St. Jude kids?
Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you help give kids with cancer around the world that chance. Together, we can save more lives.

Your support helps patients like Hayden
In 2023, Hayden was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a cancer of the retina. The diagnosis brought his mother, Terrian, to tears. But when her son was referred to St. Jude, she felt hope.
At St. Jude, Hayden underwent surgery to remove his right eye and now wears a prosthetic.
“St. Jude saved my son’s life,” she said. “St. Jude has done a lot for me, and not just for me but for other families as well.”
When you support St. Jude, you help families like Hayden's.
Bring joy to the children of St. Jude
Unlike other hospitals, the majority of funding for St. Jude comes from generous donors. Your donations will help sustain our lifesaving mission.
