Do small donations matter? Gideon’s story
Gideon was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma when he was just a baby. Thanks to donations from supporters like you, Gideon's family never received a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. Gideon underwent treatment at St. Jude and returned home cancer-free.
How does St. Jude use donations?
Unlike other hospitals, the majority of funding for St. Jude comes from generous donors. When you give any amount to St. Jude, your contribution helps support vital research, treatment and operating costs.
Cutting-edge research
With our state-of-the-art facilities, St. Jude is at the forefront of pediatric cancer and catastrophic disease research. When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Patient care
St. Jude cares for some of the world’s sickest children regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs or ability to pay. Our patients receive the customized care they need to treat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, no matter what barriers they may face.
Small donations make a big difference
Every gift, no matter how large or small, makes a difference in the lives of St. Jude kids. Thank you for helping us help children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
