About St. Jude
A Dream for the World
St. Jude founder Danny Thomas had a bold dream, rooted in philanthropy and generosity. Danny’s dream was plainspoken and bold: “No child should die in the dawn of life.” His inclusive vision meant children around the world.
Worldwide, an estimated 400,000 children will get cancer each year. Here in the United States, 4 out of 5 children will survive a cancer diagnosis, but in developing countries, that number is reversed: only 1 out of 5 will survive.
Today, the most significant predictor of whether a child will survive cancer is where they live.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Finding cures. Saving children.® Everywhere.
