The St. Jude Happy Cart is full of donated toys, games, activities and crafts that volunteers give to St. Jude patients. The cart is also stocked with useful items such as notebooks, magazines, manicure kits and hair ties that patient families may sometimes need. These items can provide necessary distractions for patients and families.
Happy Cart volunteers work in groups to distribute these items inside clinics and on inpatient floors.
Requirements
Shifts are available:
- Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Volunteers must be able to effectively work and communicate with others as well as provide age-appropriate activities for children.
