Eucharistic Lay Minister Volunteer Opportunities

St. Jude Eucharistic Lay Minister volunteers assist Spiritual Care Services in providing Eucharistic needs to Catholic patients and families.

Volunteer Eucharistic Lay Minister

St. Jude Eucharistic Lay Minister volunteers assist Spiritual Care Services in providing Eucharistic needs to Catholic patients and families. Tasks include providing sacraments in accordance with rules of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis.

ELM volunteers offer Communion to patients 14 and over, patients under 14 with consent of parent or legal guardian, and family members who are present with patients. They listen attentively to patient and family concerns without offering personal opinions and make referrals to St. Jude chaplains when patients and families need additional spiritual support.
