Saving lives worldwide

St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world. Our hospital may be located in Memphis, Tenn., but our impact is felt worldwide.

Leading the way

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

We encourage other cancer research institutions to use our resources to aid in the global fight against childhood cancer; the raw data from the St. Jude-Washington University Pediatric Cancer Genome Project, the world’s most ambitious effort to discover the genetic origins of childhood cancer, is available to the global research community.

Our global reach

St. Jude has worked with institutions in countries around the world to improve global survival rates for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

With the launch of St. Jude Global, we have set an ambitious goal to improve access to care for 30% of children with cancer worldwide in the next decade. Ultimately, our goal is for all children with cancer to have access to quality care – no matter where they live.

More than cancer

Aside from childhood cancer, St. Jude is researching new cures and better long-term care for sickle cell disease, the most common inherited blood disorder in the U.S., affecting about 100,000 Americans.

Our research is also showing promising results towards developing a cure for malaria, an especially serious threat to millions of children around the world.

Help us save lives worldwide

Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped raise the survival rate for children with cancer in the United States, where 4 out of 5 children survive cancer. In many countries, however, 1 out of 5 children diagnosed with cancer will survive. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer, no matter where they live.
