How to fundraise on TikTok

TikTok is an accessible, multipurpose platform that allows users to fundraise in a variety of ways. To help get you started, we’ve outlined the following options:

Add a donation link to your TikTok profile

One of the most effective ways to fundraise on TikTok is to use Donation Stickers. To add a Donation Sticker to a profile:

  1. Open the TikTok app on your smartphone.
  2. Select the Profile button at the bottom right-hand corner of the app.
  3. Select Edit profile.
  4. Select Add nonprofit to your profile.
  5. Search for and select the nonprofit organization of your choice.

After making a selection, the donation link will appear within your profile bio. 

 
 

Create a fundraising video and use donation stickers

Another way to help support charities like St. Jude is to create fundraising videos and share them on your profile.

  1. Within your profile on the TikTok app, select the Add post (+) button at the bottom center of your screen.
  2. Create your video. Here’s where you get to be creative. When fundraising for nonprofits like St. Jude, consider incorporating relevant trends, sharing relevant personal or patient stories, or completing/starting a challenge video.
  3. Once you’ve created your video, you can select the Stickers button (shown on the right-hand side) and then select the Support Nonprofits button (usually shown in the second row).

Going LIVE on TikTok to fundraise is a great way to engage with other users in real time and create a sense of community, urgency and excitement. To add a fundraising link to your LIVE:

  1. Select the Settings button at the bottom of your LIVE screen.
  2. Tap on Support nonprofit.
  3. Search for and select the nonprofit organization of your choice.
  4. Select a location on the video for your sticker to be displayed by tapping the screen.
