What is fundraising on TikTok?
Fundraising on TikTok is similar other social media fundraising campaigns, like Facebook fundraising. Organizations or individual supporters use TikTok to raise money and awareness for causes, like St. Jude.
How to fundraise on TikTok
TikTok is an accessible, multipurpose platform that allows users to fundraise in a variety of ways. To help get you started, we’ve outlined the following options:
Add a donation link to your TikTok profile
One of the most effective ways to fundraise on TikTok is to use Donation Stickers. To add a Donation Sticker to a profile:
- Open the TikTok app on your smartphone.
- Select the Profile button at the bottom right-hand corner of the app.
- Select Edit profile.
- Select Add nonprofit to your profile.
- Search for and select the nonprofit organization of your choice.
After making a selection, the donation link will appear within your profile bio.
Create a fundraising video and use donation stickers
Another way to help support charities like St. Jude is to create fundraising videos and share them on your profile.
- Within your profile on the TikTok app, select the Add post (+) button at the bottom center of your screen.
- Create your video. Here’s where you get to be creative. When fundraising for nonprofits like St. Jude, consider incorporating relevant trends, sharing relevant personal or patient stories, or completing/starting a challenge video.
- Once you’ve created your video, you can select the Stickers button (shown on the right-hand side) and then select the Support Nonprofits button (usually shown in the second row).
- Search for and select the nonprofit organization of your choice.
- Choose a location on the video for your sticker to be displayed by tapping the screen.
- Select the Next button at the bottom right of your screen. This will take you to a page where you can add a description of the video and adjust additional video settings.
- Consider including relevant hashtags (such as #TikTokforGood or #ForStJude) to help your video reach broader audiences.

Meet St. Jude patient, Eliza, and her family
Eliza's mom and dad felt hopeless when their 4-month-old "ray of sunshine" was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, an aggressive eye cancer. St. Jude gave them hope and years of memories ahead. Thanks to our supporters, we can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families. Your donation helps St. Jude give kids with cancer the chance they deserve.
Why support St. Jude kids?
Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you help give kids with cancer around the world that chance. Together, we can save more lives.
Fundraising on TikTok helps us find cures for childhood cancer
Unlike other hospitals, the majority of funding for St. Jude comes from generous donors. St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% in 1962 to 80% today. We won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
