Legal Operations Internship

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in Legal Operations? Students are invited to apply for Legal Operations internship positions with the Legal Operations Office of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, located at Peabody Place in Memphis, TN. We offer internships for spring, summer, and fall.

As a Legal Ops intern for St. Jude, you will be immersed in a unique culture where interns work closely with the Legal Operations team, in-house lawyers, staff of St. Jude, and outside counsel on substantive projects in aspects of the law and business organization functions. Legal Ops interns will primarily assist the Legal Operations team by conducting research, analyzing data, developing and implementing process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and generally supporting initiatives aimed at optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of Legal Services at St. Jude.

Mentoring is a core aspect of the program. Mentors ensure each assignment comes with ample context and follow-through opportunities, with plentiful client interaction. Interns are routinely included in meetings of all types for educational purposes.

Eligibility

All interested students are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants:

• Exceptional grades and/or experience
• Fluent in English
• Strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage multiple projects
• Demonstrate creative problem solving and proactive learning
• Positive and professional attitude, including dependability and timeliness
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of legal concepts and terminology
