Overview of Program
The Chemistry-Biology Interface T32 (CBIT) Internship Program offers motivated CBIT PhD students an opportunity to spend a summer within the Department of Chemical Biology & Therapeutics (CBT) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. CBIT interns will participate in drug discovery research and have access to cutting-edge biotech/pharma technologies to treat rare pediatric diseases.
Selected interns will engage in a full-time learning experience. You should expect to be available Monday through Friday during standard laboratory hours.
Typical Learning Opportunities and Activites
- Interns will engage with St. Jude faculty mentors to perform innovative research at the chemistry-biology interface.
- Attend departmental research seminars.
- Participate in professional development workshops.
- Present summer research progress to the department.
Education Required
- Candidates must be appointed to an active NIGMS CBIT grant.
- Candidates have passed their qualifying exams per the institution’s guidelines.

- Advanced laboratory and technical skills.
