"Realizing a Dream: A Structural Biology Program at St. Jude" will be the topic when the department of Structural Biology hosts a symposium Tuesday, August 14. Participants from St. Jude, the National Institutes of Health, and other major biomedical research institutions will discuss past, present and future Structural Biology research at St. Jude and around the world.  

The first chairman of the department, Stephen White, DPhil, will be honored for his charismatic and forward-thinking leadership in building a world-class structural biology program. The event will conclude with the keynote address of Venki Ramakrishnan, PhD, 2009 Nobel laureate in chemistry.
