Memphis Pathogen-Host Workshop

This work-in-progress workshop is for basic and clinical researchers from the Memphis area studying pathogenesis. This workshop complements other existing seminars at St. Jude by being inter-departmental and providing each trainee the opportunity to present their work once per year. It also allows trainees to present less formal, incomplete work.

The weekly workshops are held on Tuesday mornings, 9:00 - 10:00 am CT, at St. Jude or on WebEx as needed. The intent is to have approximately 30-35 minutes of slides, allowing 15-20+ minutes for discussion. Early-stage research in progress is much preferred over "canned" talks.

This workshop has several goals. First, it will provide trainees and investigators an opportunity to present in-progress research findings once annually. Second, it will foster active discussions that may guide research direction, resolve inconsistencies, and frame research in a broader context. Third, it will provide awareness of ongoing research in other labs to foster future collaboration, especially cross-disciplinary.
