Jouy Thomas is a certified communications and marketing professional specializing in strategy, content creation, and branding with more than a decade of experience in communications, marketing, development, and volunteer management. She has worked with several local nonprofits, including BRIDGES USA and Christian Brothers University, and most recently served as the assistant director of advancement communications at the University of Memphis. There, she spearheaded strategic communication efforts for major gift donors, prospects, and UofM alumni, handling major gift proposals, campaign collateral for priority university fundraising initiatives, and division-wide communications.
Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2010 and an MPA with an emphasis in nonprofit management from Keller Graduate School in 2014. A native Memphian, Thomas enjoys traveling and spending time with her 10-year-old son, Jace. She is excited to bring her experience and passion for nonprofit communications to this role.
