Twenty years ago when I came to St. Jude for a job interview, I didn't really know what to expect from a hospital that treated children with cancer. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very family oriented and personable atmosphere. I am very proud to be a small part of a team that feels such a personal responsibility for continuing to find better ways to treat childhood leukemia.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, I am in close contact with home physicians when children are away from St. Jude. I monitor blood counts drawn at the home hospitals and try to help organize the relationship between St. Jude and the home physician's office. I am also involved in scheduling tests so that children are in Memphis for the shortest time possible. It is my goal to help children maintain as normal a life as possible while they are receiving their treatments.
