Departments
Kelly Reger is a Research Technologist in the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine.
Kelly is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she completed studies in Global Health and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP). She previously worked as a research assistant for the St. Jude Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control conducting research for the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS).
Kelly’s passion for global health ignited when she spent a summer in Albergue Frieda Heller Children’s Cancer Home and interning at Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN) in Lima, Peru. There, she witnessed the powerful impact the quality and care a medical team can have on a child’s life. She went on to explore and learn from medical institutions at the National Cancer Center in Singapore and her family in Malaysia. Her experiences allowed her to witness health disparities on an international scale and bolstered her interest in sustainable global health initiatives.
Kelly loves travelling and experiencing different cultures through eating, cooking and meeting new people. She is thrilled to play an active role for Global Pediatric Medicine to address global health care challenges and plans to attend medical school in the future.
