Rebekah McClure, MPH, BSN, RN received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, in 2010, and her Master of Science in Nursing, in 2014, from the University of Kansas. She began her nursing career on the cardiovascular surgical inpatient unit at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas; and subsequently worked as a clinical nurse coordinator in the outpatient setting. Rebekah has worked with several global health initiatives, coordinating projects both remotely and in the field. Much of her work has focused in Africa, where she has been involved in developing education programs, conducting community needs assessments, capacity-building efforts and clinical research projects. Recently, Rebekah returned to the U.S. after spending a year and a half in Zambia, as the HIV Program Coordinator with the Zambia Emory HIV Research Group. Rebekah is fluent in English and conversant in Kiswahili. In her role as Global Nursing Quality Coordinator, Rebekah will help to design and implement multi-site quality improvement projects, evaluate nursing quality at global sites, and monitor global nursing initiatives.
