Madelyn holds a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics. While earning her MS, she learned how to apply data science and technology to improve health care outcomes and delivery. She also holds two bachelors' from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa — her hometown: a BS in Health Sciences and a BSN via an accelerated second degree BSN program.
While at Duquesne, Madelyn gained knowledge and experience with clinical research, numerous EMRs and many EDCs. Before working in her current role, she worked as data manager, a CRA in Evidence (Phase IV)/ HEOR, and an In-House CRA II. During her time in these positions, she conducted on-site and remote monitoring, site training, and quality assurance including leading quality issues and CAPAs.
Additionally, she has three years' experience as a Staff Nurse at a Level II Trauma Center, where she provided direct patient care with a focus on women’s oncological health. During this time, Madelyn participated in quality improvement initiatives while also training new graduate nurses. Madelyn is skilled in Real World Evidence (RWE), Clinical Trials, Clinical Site Monitoring, Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), various Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms, as well as multiple Electronic Health/medical Record (EMR) Systems, and Data Management.
But most importantly, she is passionate about advancing the field of clinical research to improve the lives and outcomes of the patients in the world we all live in.
