Henita is a committed public health professional with thirteen years of experience in global health, including four years with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria improving Country Coordinating Mechanisms, six years with the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in India and Rwanda, and one year with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) working on Field Epidemiology Training Programs.
Known for her expertise in managing complex technical and political health programs in low- and middle-income countries, Henita is skilled in communications, diplomacy, and advocacy, and is driven by a commitment to the intersection of policy, programming, and science.
Henita is inspired by St. Jude’s mission to globally improve access to care for children with cancer and life-threatening blood diseases and sees this as a profound opportunity to contribute to a cause aligned with her belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right. She is looking forward to being part of the team.
