Judy A. Habib
- Chair
Judy, named after St. Jude, likes to say that St. Jude is in her blood. Her father served alongside founder Danny Thomas and she grew up going to annual ALSAC conventions with her dad.
Judy’s corporate career began in sales and marketing, and then she used her experience to start something unique in the marketplace: she cofounded KHJ. This was an integrated marketing agency that brought together strategic and creative teams that built award-winning brands for a broad range of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 100. Some called her “The Brand Whisperer.” A longtime champion for advancing women’s leadership, she received multiple awards, including the 2022 Pinnacle lifetime achievement award from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
KHJ’s mission statement was “To help people and organizations see and realize what’s possible, for themselves, and the world around them.” After 35 years as president, CEO, and chairman of KHJ, Judy sold her company to devote herself to new ways to realize this commitment. To that end, she took on the Presidency of The International Women’s Forum, began writing projects to help people commit to journeys of personal growth and development, and of course, expanded the scope of her work with St. Jude.
Judy was invited to join the St. Jude Board of Governors and the ALSAC Board of Directors in 1994. At that time, she was the catalyst for articulating and clarifying the St. Jude brand, which today is iconic around the world. Having chaired ALSAC from 2019 to 2021, and now St Jude, she is the first woman to have chaired both boards.
