Frederick R. Harris Jr., MD

Frederick R. Harris Jr., MD joined the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards in 2016 after serving as a National Committee member from 2013 to 2016 and is the Secretary of the St. Jude Board of Governors.  Dr. Harris is a practicing gastroenterologist with Gastro One in Memphis.  He serves on committees for local St. Jude events and is currently involved with numerous other charitable organizations in Memphis, including The Exchange Club Family Center and Carnival Memphis.  Dr. Harris graduated from the University of Georgia in 2002, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in Biology, and completed his medical education and training at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, which included a residency and chief residency in internal medicine followed by subspecialty training in gastroenterology.  His father, Frederick R. Harris Sr., was a member of the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards from 1987 to 2017 and of the Emeritus Board since 2017.  His grandfather, Albert F. Harris Sr., served on the Boards from 1968 to 1987.
