Marcela Garza is a postdoc researcher in the Global Critical Care program.
Marce was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. After starting college as a clinical dietitian, she changed fields to medicine and finished medical school at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). She moved to Memphis in 2018 and started working at St. Jude.
Prior to her current postdoc researcher role in Global Critical Care, she coordinated a quality improvement project related to pediatric early warning scores in facilities across Latin America. Marce works on advancing the knowledge of elements that lead to successful multicenter projects in global health.
