Jacob is a happy boy who loves playing video games with his family and having fun outdoors. He loves going to school, and his favorite subject is Science.
Jacob started to have frequent, unbearable headaches and stopped acting like himself. After meeting with their local pediatrician, his parents were told their son had anemia. But Jacob got worse so his mom rushed him to their local hospital where test results changed the life of this family forever: Jacob had leukemia.
Jacob was referred to St. Jude where doctors placed him on a treatment plan that included chemotherapy to try and save his life.
“We didn’t know anything about cancer, but when you arrive at St. Jude, they answer every question. They explain the treatment,” said his dad. “St. Jude is a second home.”
Because of generous donors like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.
Jacob is responding well to treatment and his family is thankful for all the help they were given at St. Jude.
“St. Jude is like a family, and families help each other,” said Jacob’s dad.
