Celebrity event supports St. Jude with golf, rock ’n’ roll

More than 1,000 people gathered to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the 6th annual Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament March 6-13, 2016, in Palm Desert, California. The tournament is the centerpiece of a week of events that also featured a 5K walk/run, Songwriters Night and a Jam Session. Musicians performing in the Jam Session included Kim Carnes, Mike Mills of R.E.M., Micky Dolenz, The Gin Blossoms, Robby Krieger of The Doors, Alice Cooper and Alex Lifeson of Rush. Hosted by actor Patrick Warburton, the week’s events raised more than $1.7 million. Warburton and his wife, Cathy, are ardent St. Jude supporters, and their event has raised more than $4.7 million since it began.
