St. Jude welcomed survivors and their guests to campus September 10 as part of Survivors’ Day activities. More than 500 people attended the fun-filled Saturday event that included a variety of carnival games and entertainment, as well as health information.
Both current patients and long-term survivors attended the event, where James R. Downing, MD, St. Jude president and chief executive officer, welcomed attendees and provided a hospital update. A survivor recognition and awards ceremony followed Downing’s presentation.
